Pre-Employment Test
Purpose: The Personal Style I assessment includes a set of traits suitable for evaluating candidates going into a wide variety of positions. In general, this tests screens for someone who is trustworthy, dependable, easy to get along with, team-oriented and open to new ideas, with a strong work ethic.
About This Test: This test will take most candidates approximately 45-60 minutes. It consists of 2 parts:
- An untimed personality assessment
- An untimed General Cognitive Aptitude Test (includes verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning)
What the Report Gives You: A graphical display of personality trait scores, feedback regarding strengths and developmental concerns, explanation of aptitude results and suggested interview questions.
Testing Process:
- Immediate score report upon completion.
- Proctoring desirable but not required.
- The use of mobile phones is discouraged.
Options: If the position requires problem solving, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills, consider adding a measure of cognitive ability. RA’s Personal Style II includes personality + aptitude and can be found here: https://resourceassociates.com/tests/personal-style-assessment-ii-test/
Contrast to the Personal Style Assessment II + Career Development Report: When you choose this option, the candidate takes the Personal Style II but it results in TWO reports: (1) an evaluative report for the hiring manager and (2) a career development report suitable for sharing with the job candidate or new hire. The career development report can be used for personal growth or for coaching purposes. To view & purchase this test, click here.
